Happiness based and depends on external things
Joy comes from within
• Word you say is self fulfilling
• What are you saying to yourself
• Confess and profess things that bring joy in your life

James 1:2
• Joy in divers temptation
• Rely on and in God
• God inside you is greater than anything and everything outside you

Jeremiah 10
• Joy of the Lord is my strength

Psalm 3:5
• Weeping endures for a night but joy comes in the morning

• Restore the joy if my salvation

• Jesus Christ is everlasting life and living water
• Joy if you ask and receive living water

Your best is not good enough to enter God’s heaven
Jesus covered the sins of the world
Example of godly righteous was brother forgave, embraced, and prayed for salvation for the officer that fatally shot brother in his own apartment
Ask the Lord to save you and the keep your self from sin
God is a righteous judge and holds us accountable
Leg 25:9
Year of Jubilee (50th year) you are released from sin, debt
Life of flesh is in the blood
Blood makes atonement for the soul

Sticking with the Truth

  • Jesus said do not commit adultery
  • Know the truth, be made free
  • Truth is fact not a feeling
  • God loved the world and commands every man to repent
  • Your parents religion can point you to Christ but to receive Christ Jesus open your heart and receive him
  • Lust of the flesh causes us to do things not good for us

  • Evil spirit knew Jesus, knew Paul
  • Who are you?
  • Fear fell after the demon made them naked and wounded
  • Matthew 16:24 are you carrying a cross
  • Deny self, not about you but its about Jesus Christ
  • Jesus Christ carried the cross, was beaten, crown of thorns, cross is heavy
  • No cross no crown, even if the cross gets heavy
  • Save your life will lose if not for Christ
  • What profit if you gain the world and lose your soul
  • Dont get caught up in jobs, education, stuff and let it cost you eternal life
  • God knows you even before you were born
  • Jesus comes with a reward are you going to get a reward for evil or for good
  • Be content in the gender God made you
  • Use the scripture, inspired of God, for instruction and doctrine -Holy Bible
  • Man of God may be perfect
  • Perfect means complete in Christ furnished in all good works
  • Fruit of the Spirit
  • Without faith it is impossible to please God
  • 1 Peter 2:9-12 holy nation, royal priesthood, chosen generation
  • God choose me did he choose you
  • Peculiar- special Christ like quality
  • Called out of darkness (world, sin) into the light (strength, hope)
  • Have you obtained mercy
